If a user attempts to sign on and is given the message that the job ended abnormally and to display the joblog for more information, have another user look at the joblog in QEZJOBLOG. To do this, type the following command on the OS/400 command line:
WRKOUTQ QEZJOBLOG
Press the Enter key. Find the joblog for the user who was not able to sign on. The most likely cause is either the initial program/ library or the menu/library specified in the user profile is not correct. If that is the case, change to a valid initial program or menu.
Note: A user who is unable to sign on because of an initial menu that is not correct should still be able to sign on if MAIN is specified for the menu on the sign-on screen.
