Try these things:
Printer emulation settings:
Things to try:
Try unchecking “Use auto page orientation” if checked, and try Computer output reduction (COR) if unchecked. Try Landscape instead of COR. Try checking “ use best fit scaling” if unchecked.
After each change, be sure and do a file save and reprint something to see if it made a difference.
If none of the above works, try to use the PDT, as listed below:
Click on File, printer setup:
Check the “Use PDT button and click on “Select PDT”. The following will appear:
Select the closest file to your particular printer (for example, if you have a HP Deskjet 6122, the closest ones to try are the hpdj550c.pdt or the hpdskjt.pdt. Double click on the file name and click ok. Do File, Save, and reprint.
If this still does not give desired results, try the following:
Uncheck the “use PDT” and click on Communication, Configure.
Click on Setup.
Click on “Transform print data to ASCII on iSeries” (or AS400), and like the example before, choose the printer that most closely resembles your printer (I’ve found that a generic *HP4 or *HP5 can sometimes work for Hewlett Packard printers). It’s a trial and error.
Click OK. Click OK again. The following will appear:
Click OK. Save and reprint.
These are all the different ways to print. Use the one that is the best fit. There is one more called the *WSCST. Call the supportdesk if none of the above options really prints the best and we will help.
Good luck!
